Example
Sell 100 tickets at R 150: that's R 15 000 in sales. TownTickets keeps R 900 and you receive R 14 100.
Founding organisers
3% on your first event
We're inviting our first five organisers to sell with us at 3% instead of 6% on their first event, and we'll set the event up with you.
Getting paid
Your earnings are paid by EFT after your event has ended. Before your first payout we ask for your ID, a selfie and proof of your bank account, so money only ever goes to the right person. Your payouts page shows your sales, our commission and what you will receive at any time.
How it works
From sign-up to the door in four steps
Step 1
Create your organiser account
Tell us who you are and what kind of events you run. We approve every organiser by hand.
Step 2
Set up your event
Add the date, venue, a photo, your ticket types and prices, and your refund policy. We check it, put it live and email you the link.
Step 3
Share the link and sell
Post your event link on WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook. Guests pay by instant EFT with Ozow and get a QR ticket straight away.
Step 4
Scan guests in and get paid
Open the door scanner on your phone and scan each ticket once. After the event we pay your earnings into your verified bank account.

Questions organisers ask
How do my guests pay?
By instant EFT through Ozow, straight from their banking app. As soon as the payment is confirmed their ticket appears in their TownTickets account, with a QR code and a PDF they can print.
Do I need special equipment at the door?
No. Open the door scanner on any phone with a camera and point it at the guest's QR code. Each ticket scans once, so screenshots and copies can't get in twice.
Can I change my event after it goes live?
Yes. You can edit the details, add ticket types, switch a ticket type off to stop its sales, or cancel the event from your organiser dashboard.
What happens with refunds?
You set your own refund policy and it is shown on your event page before anyone buys. Guests request refunds from their TownTickets orders, and we handle approved refunds with you.
